Distinguished Alumni Nominations Due 9/1 There are bound to be many outstanding Alpha Chi alumni that have been recognized by your chapter or your college in recent years, and we hope you will help us locate them. Each year Alpha Chi selects one of these outstanding alumni to receive the year’s Distinguished Alumni Award, and it’s time for nominations for 2023. Nominees will be reviewed by the National Council and the award presented at the convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 30 - April 1. The recipient will be asked to speak at the convention, and their expenses to attend the convention will be covered. If you’re not sure where to begin, a great place to start is the alumni office of your campus. Simply ask for the names of some of your institution’s top alumni. If it isn’t known on campus if the person was in Alpha Chi, the national office can help you do some research in our membership records. The chapter that nominates the person selected will receive a $200 honorarium. Nominees should have been inducted as undergraduate or graduate members, made notable achievements in their chosen careers, and represent the ideals of Alpha Chi. Email your nomination directly to kholmes@alphachihonor.org by Sep. 1, 2022. Nominations should include: 1. A letter from the nominating chapter that includes the rationale for the nomination and when the person was inducted into your chapter. 2. Their resume or C.V. and any other documents to aid the selection committee. 3. Whether or not the nominee can attend the convention.
